Assessment Centres

 Recruiting Recruitment Consultants

It is really difficult to recruit for a Recruitment Consultant as quite often the best candidates do not have previous recruitment or sales experience. So how do you go about choosing who will be good at the job?

Firebird Training run assessment centres on your behalf to help with the selection process once you have chosen who you would like to interview. Quite often it is better to interview everyone (within reason) that applies to your job advertisement so as not to miss out on a possible STAR.

A Firebird Training Consultant will visit your organisation and meet the current team to establish a cultural, environmental and personality fit that will work well with the rest of the team before the assessment takes place.

Candidates are then invited to a group interview session (maximum of 10 interviewees) which involves lots of interaction to establish their confidence levels, their ability to communicate and be a team player.

They are given a short training session then are involved in role plays to assess recruiter competencies.

Psychometric Testing

Personal Profile Analysis (PPA) – Thomas International & PeopleKeys

Is a comprehensive assessment of an individual including working strengths, fears, motivators and the value that person brings to an employer. It includes how they are likely to perform under pressure, how they modify behaviour in their current job and any frustrations or problems they maybe facing. It provides an insight into how people behave at work answering questions such as:

  • What are your strengths and limitations?
  • Are you a self-starter?
  • How do you communicate?
  • What motivates you?

It can be used to:

  • Improve your recruitment process.
  • Increase staff retention.
  • Enable more effective people management.
  • Identify your leaders of the future.
  • Enable better team cohesion resulting in more effective working practices and processes.
  • Add value to your clients to help them with their recruitment process.

Key benefits:

  • Fast, accurate and cost effective ways on making decisions on recruiting staff.
  • Eliminates the need for guesswork when you can not decide on who to choose at interview stage.
  • It only takes 7-8 minutes to complete.
  • Enables more effective people management

Job Profiling

Enables you to quickly and effectively profile the job you are recruiting for. It gives you a template for a job into which you place a candidate with the best fit in terms of PPA profile.

It can be used to:

  • Compare the PPA profile of possible candidates against that of the job profile to assess how well that person would ‘fit’ the role.

Key benefits:

  • Provides a template for a job.
  • Objective view of the behavioural characteristics required for the job.

A qualified consultant will visit your offices and carry out a Thomas International Personal Profile Analysis (PPA) based around DISC (Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Compliance) of your staff, job profiles and to assess people you have identified to join your business.

Do you recognise any traits in your staff or potential new employee in the following behavioural styles?

Dominant people love a challenge, can be reckless and always ready for competition. They have a drive for accomplishment in the face of opposition or antagonism.

Influencers are outgoing, persuasive and gregarious and favour friendly situations. They like to involve and promote others.

People with high steadiness are usually amiable, easy going, content and relaxed. They are always willing to help those that are their friends. They strive to maintain status quo.

Complaint people have high work standards and avoid trouble and error. They are humble, loyal and strive for a stable ordered life and avoid conflict.

Want to find out what your behavioural style is or make a decision on your next recruit or provide your clients with additional proof to employ your candidate?
