Recruiter training and coaching programme – 90 days to success ‘Platinum package’

Suitable for your new recruits or recruiters that need a refresher.

Our Trainee Recruiter programme is designed to ensure trainee recruiters start to bill within 90 days. Over the first 3 weeks they either attend the open training courses which can be face to face or online via video conferencing (MS Teams) before returning to the working environment to implement and practice what they have learnt. We can also come to your premises for a more individualised training approach or run the programme for your team via online video conferencing via MS Teams.

For the next 5 weeks they receive one-to-one coaching and mentoring to ensure they achieve results either on the phone or via online video conferencing (MS Teams).

For a further 30 days they receive coaching by telephone/video conferencing (MS Teams) and/or at their desk side to make sure they secure their first deal.

All courses whether open or site based are tailored to the individual learner needs and business needs.

Week One – ‘Candidate Management’

One day course

 An introduction to recruitment legislation, employment law, sourcing and interviewing candidates. It will teach delegates how to source passive as well as active job seekers, write quality job advertisements, qualify candidates and develop key skills in interviewing candidates. They will understand the importance of preparation and structure with the value of asking the right questions. Delegates will leave the course with the skills, knowledge and confidence to make calls to candidates, qualify candidates for jobs, interview candidates face to face to find their unique selling points so they can effectively market a candidate to a client. They will return to the office to try out their new skills for a week before returning the second week for the ‘Client Management’ training.

At the end of the week, the delegate’s manager is sent a feedback form to complete on the progress of the delegate which is emailed back to Firebird Training to review before the next module. A follow up call is made to the manager.

Week Two – Module 2 – ‘Client Management’ Week Two – Module 2 – ‘Client Management’

One day course

Understanding the importance of selecting clients, developing client relationships, finding a niche and winning business. Delegates will leave with the skills, knowledge, confidence and motivation to get past the gatekeeper, make productive sales calls to clients, overcome clients’ objections and qualify a client. They will return to the office to try out their new skills for a week before returning the third week of the programme where they will learn how to follow the whole process of making a placement from the client visit to managing the offer of employment.

At the end of the week, the delegate’s manager is sent a feedback form to complete on the progress of the delegate which is emailed back to Firebird Training to review before the next module. A follow up call is made to the manager.

 Week Three – Making a placement & managing your time

One day course

Putting in place processes to ensure successful placements are made. It will give them the rest of the tools, knowledge and take quality job orders and profile jobs (submit CVs, arrange interviews, follow through to managing the offer and closing the deal). At the end of the day delegates will be looking at ways of managing their time and put together a weekly planner.

At the end of the week, the delegate’s manager is sent a feedback form to complete on the progress of the delegate which is emailed back to Firebird Training. A follow up visit is arranged with the manager.

Week 4-5 Implement learning, assessment & two hours desk side mentoring/coaching

The beginning of week 4, delegates will be sent an electronic assessment to complete covering points from what they have learnt and have 2 weeks to practice their learning and look back through their workbooks to reinforce their knowledge. This is returned to Firebird Training for marking and results are sent back to delegates and their managers the beginning of week 6. If they pass the assessment they will be issued with a certificate to confirm attendance on the course and that they have passed the modules. Delegates will also have 2 hours’ worth of mentoring/coaching (an hour a week).

Week 6 Assessment results, issue of certificate & one hour desk side mentoring/coaching

Delegates assessment results are issued and certificates of achievement are sent out.

Plus one hour mentoring/coaching.

Weeks 7-8 Two hours desk side mentoring/coaching

One hour mentoring/coaching session each week in weeks 7 and 8.

For a further 30 days Three hours mentoring/coaching via telephone, skype, and email in weeks one to three, plus one hour desk side coaching in week four. This can be done face to face or online via video conferencing (MS Teams).

  • Silver package if attend open courses (training courses only with one hour telephone/video conferencing follow up coaching call in week 4, 8 & 12) – £1,092
  • Silver package if attend site based courses (training courses only with one hour telephone/video conferencing follow up coaching call in week 4, 8, 12) – £1,692
  • Bronze package if attend open courses (training courses only with follow up one hour telephone/video conferencing coaching call at week 12) – £958

  • An hour pre-training meeting to establish learner strengths and areas for development so courses can be tailored to individual needs to maximise results.
  • Training manuals to take away and keep.
  • A one hour debrief at the end of the 90 day programme with the learner and manager to consolidate learning and put in place an action development plan to ensure future success.
